Solid-State Technologies for Flexible and Efficient Marine DC Microgrids

چکیده
This paper presents flexible operating modes of marine DC microgrids and main advantages employing energy storage systems into such microgrids. Scaled-down with two buses integrated storages are considered in this paper. To verify superior features the solid-state technologies systems, a wide range system experimentally demonstrated, ranging from basic to advanced modes: voltage regulation, power sharing control, soft start (smoothly charging bus potential nominal level), seamless transition (transiting open-bus closed-bus operations), load leveling (flattening generator loads by systems), transient mitigation (mitigating sudden changes zero-emission (powering networks near port). The experimental results show that provide ship owners flexibility management system, fuel savings, environmental compliance port.
